The Washington Rogues are joining forces with DC’s legendary Arena Stage! We are honored to be  invited to take part in a celebration of one this countries most prominent artists.  We will present two staged readings of Albee’s Tony-winning masterpiece The Goat, or Who is Sylvia on Sunday, March 20th at 6:00 pm and Monday, March 21st at 8:30 pm in the Ammerman Rehearsal Hall at Arena Stage.

Over the course of March and April, Arena Stage will host a wide range of Washington theater companies, bringing to life the work of one of America’s most celebrated playwrights. Cast:

John Kevin Boggs (Martin)  is a local actor and storyteller last seen in Logic, Luck and Love and Showcase Showdown during the 2010 Capital Fringe Festival.  Recent credits include All That I Will Ever Be,  Autobahn,  Terrorism and TempOdyssey at Studio 2ndStage.  Other credits include Camille (Washington Shakespeare Company); Kid Simple (Forum Theatre), Gross Indecency and The Lazarus Syndrome (Theatre Alliance).  Kevin is also a faculty member for SpeakeasyDC and a frequent performer and sometimes host for their 2nd Tuesday OpenMic.

Rose McConnell (Stevie) was last seen on the DC stage as Oisie in Looking for the Pony at Venus Theatre.  Other recent projects include The Tea Party Project with the DC Theatre Collective as part of the Capital Fringe Festival. Other area credits include, Valparaiso and The Memorandum, both at Forum Theatre, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie at The Studio Theatre, Heartbreak House and Camille (Marguerite u/s) at Round House Theatre and Lulu Fabulous with Phoenix Theatre DC. Rose is a company member at Forum Theatre.

Frank Britton (Ross) is a graduate of and Faculty member at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts. He has appeared with many area theatres, most recently in the title role of Richard III at Washington Shakespeare Company, Kafka’s Metamorphosis (Synetic Theater); The Miser (Washington Shakespeare Company, where he is an Acting Company Member); Lulu (Washington Shakespeare Co.); A Flea in Her Ear (Constellation Theatre Company); and Camille: A Tearjerker (Washington Shakespeare Co.). Other area credits include Orpheus Descending (Arena Stage); One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (Round House Theatre); After The Flood, Accidental Death of an Anarchist (Rorschach Theatre); The Balcony, Mother Courage and Her Children (SCENA Theatre); Hedda Gabler, Caligula, Red Noses, Death and the King’s Horseman (Washington Shakespeare Co.); The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (Helen Hayes nomination–Ensemble), Anouilh’s Antigone, Everyman (Forum Theatre); Temptation (Constellation Theatre Co.), The Tempest (as Caliban, Virginia Shakespeare Festival); Insurrection: Holding History (Helen Hayes nomination–Ensemble, Theater Alliance), and has also appeared with Venus Theatre, Tsunami Theatre Co., and Baltimore Shakespeare Festival.

Dylan Marron (Billy) is a writer and performer from New York City.  Recent appearances include: Lizardskin (New York Stage & Film Summer Festival 2005), After Ashley (Wesleyan University), Oh Dad, Poor Dad… (Wesleyan University), Eurydice (Wesleyan University), All That Was Left of Them (CapFringe 2009). Film: John (NEFF Jury Prize Winner). He is proud to be a member and co-founder of GoHorses with Jo Firestone.  Jo & Dylan are the creators and performers of Ridgefield Middle School Talent Nite, the 2010 Capital Fringe Festival Director’s Award Winner, and the upcoming Megan & David’s Original Low-Cost Creativity Workshop premiering at this summer’s Capital Fringe Festival. Chelsey Christensen (Stage Directions) is a local actress, model, and nonprofit associate.  Recent credits include The Solid Gold Cadillac at The Studio Theatre, staged readings of dirty (theHegira),  Darwin’s Cousin (The Inkwell), and Salvation Road (Active Cultures Theatre).  Other credits include Boeing Boeing (Okoboji Summer Theatre); Cabaret (Okoboji Summer Theatre), Taming of the Shrew (Macklanburg Playhouse).  She can be seen next in bobrauschenbergamerica at Forum Theatre in June.  Chelsey received her B.F.A. in Theatre Arts from Stephens College.  She has continued her training at The Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory.

Chelsey Christensen has joined the Rogues as Communications Director and Social Media Maven.  After graduating with her B.F.A. in Theatre Arts from Stephens College, Chelsey moved to DC to begin her Development Apprenticeship with The Studio Theatre.  She currently uses her non-profit development and special event skills as the Membership Gifts Associate with Washington Performing Arts Society. Chelsey plunged herself into the theatre and social networking communities in DC and is ecstatic to combine those passions in her new role with the Rogues.   All press inquiries can be made to Chelsey at washingtonrogues.pr@gmail.com.
